Well, it all started in December 2006, when I was driving home after seeing the reformed It Bites - and I thought, "if they can get back together after 15 years, then why can't I get off my sorry butt and start that prog band I always meant to start before work and kids took over!
So, a quick post (well, a plea really...) on the It Bites forum, and I met drummer John. Having found a real prog drummer (one for whom 17/8 time holds no fear), plans were made for world domination, but 2007 was fraught with failed attempts to find the elusive string driven things we call guitarists. Eventually, we found a pair of them, and we fed them, watered them, and talked to them,in the hope that they would breed, and we could sell them, but instead, one decided he had to go to London, and he meant to live, not to go shopping. so we were 2 again. At this point, we almost gave up, but the Guiding Light was bright enough to keep our faith.
Finally, at the end of 2008, all due to a rather dubious picture of my (very classic!) keyboard rig and the famous It Bites forum t-shirt, we attracted the attention of Michael, our guitarist, and then there were three.
Bass players, you would think, are quite easy to find - well, that may be true for that 4/4 stuff, but prog bassists - no, forget it! Then we got an answer from this guy who said he'd love to do it but lived 9000 miles away in Kent. Naturally, we said yes - and Jon joined us in July '09.
Over the last year we've been working on a few numbers, and quite active with a number of fellow It Bites fans, leading to the demos you hear on this site.
However, our real desire is to get out there and play festivals, and we came to realise that to offer a quality product, we needed a dedicated full time singer. So welcome to Lee, who brings another dimension to our maturing sound. Lee is a strong Ray Wilson fan, which should give you a feel for how we are shaping up.
